Urmet have developed and released a new website feature!

Introducing Product Specific FAQ’s!

The Urmet Team get a lot of questions (which we love). However we noticed that specific questions about certain products kept cropping up. So we did something about it to make your life easier.

We created a new ‘FAQ’ section, which now sits on each product page.

This new section provides you with the answers to product specific, common questions that are asked by installers just like yourself.

Our FAQ’s section will provide you with short answers (1-2 lines) to our products’ commonly asked questions.

Ok, we know adding FAQ’s to the Urmet website isn’t THAT groundbreaking, but it’s where we’ve put them that makes it special.

It’s not a separate new page, they’re included on existing product pages – making them simple and convenient for you to view.

Urmet supplies Pro Installer Multicoms Solutions

Urmet have worked closely with Pro Installer Multicoms Solutions on their site at Spring Wharf, Bath – which involved the installation of over 150 Miro Colour Video Monitors!

As part of the installation, Multicoms Solutions installed the Urmet Elekta and Sinthesi Steel panels.

We’ve now been fortunate enough to see some of their hard work, our Sinthesi Steel Panels have been installed on site and are looking great!

Our Sinthesi Steel video entry panels are modular, meaning that they can be customised to meet your site’s exact requirements. They can also be professionally engraved by Urmet in-house with no additional lead time – you can see the Urmet engraved nameplates in the images above.

Spring Wharf exemplifies the high quality installations that Urmet Pro Installers such as Multicoms Solutions produce consistently.

These 2 new methods can be used in addition to the variety of ways you can already receive Urmet Technical Support.

Announcing the new Urmet Multi-User Call Forwarding Device!

Compatible on our 2 Wire ‘2Voice’ system, the new multi-user call forwarding device is specifically designed for multi-dwelling residential developments.

Ok, but what is it?

The multi-user call forwarding device allows each resident to forward calls from the entry panel to their mobile device via the Urmet CallMe App.

The Urmet solution is centrally managed and remotely administered, meaning that installation is simple as you do not need to enter each individual apartment to configure the system.

We offer both the multi-user call forwarding device AND the multi-user call forwarding data bundle, which includes a 4G router, and a 2 Year Pre-Paid SIM!

Introducing the Revamped Urmet Projects Page!

Following feedback from our customers, we have been working hard to re-design our Projects page so it is easier to navigate and use.

The Urmet Projects page displays our extensive portfolio, specifically for high-volume residential developments.

We have added our Access Control system ‘Easy Door’ to the filters, and made the Projects page accessible from every page on our website.

Urmet Celebrate a 40 Year Relationship with Anchor Sound & Security!

This year, Urmet & Anchor Sound & Security are celebrating 40 years of working together.

To commemorate this occasion, we have a very special installation to share.

Urmet Pro Installer Anchor Sound & Security first installed this original 625 panel in 1981, and it was still fully functioning!

Despite this, the system, and building, was in need of an upgrade, and Anchor Sound & Security were the clear choice for installing the new system.

So, 40 years after it was first installed, the 625 panel was replaced with a brand new Urmet Sinthesi Steel Video Entry Panel.

Some of the features of the Sinthesi Steel Panel are:

It’s clear to see that the installation of a brand new Urmet Entry Panel, and a completely new building fascia, have fully rejuvenated this building.

Take a look at Urmet 2020 'Wrapped'

It’s been a strange year for us all, so let’s reflect on some of our highlights. We couldn’t have done this without YOU!

What’s happened at Urmet this year?

1 – New Website – Definitely our biggest change this year, and following an overwhelming amount of positive feedback on our new website, we continued to add new features such as:

– ‘What’s New at Urmet’ Panel
– Product Reviews
– Contact Widget

We’ve got many more new features planned for next year, so stay tuned!

2 – Customer Service Hub – We launched a way you can quickly find out the answers to your commonly asked questions – now with nearly 300 articles available to browse.

3 – Ticketing System – we introduced a ticketing system that has allowed us to double the amount of customer enquiries we can manage at the same time.

Oh, and that’s just since August!

Thank you to all of our customers for making this year one of change and improvement for us at Urmet UK.

Our Access Control System 'Easy Door' is now on our Website!

We are pleased to announce that our Access Control system ‘Easy Door’ is now available on our website.

Easy Door is a standalone, locally or remotely managed Access Control system that is designed for small-medium residential applications.

Easy Door is simple to program, and does not require an internet connection on site when locally programming as Easy Door utilises Read & Write technology. Users are managed in the Cloud, and the controller is updated when each token is presented to the reader on site.

Take a look below to see how you remotely manage user tokens when using Easy Door.

With the addition of Easy Door, this means that there are now 3 different Access Control systems on the Urmet website (IPassan & Transit+), each of which are designed for different types of applications.

Urmet Christmas opening times

With Christmas just around the corner, please take note of our opening times for Christmas and New Year

Our last day in the office is Wednesday 23rd December 2020, and we return on Wednesday 6th January 2021.

Our last dispatch date will be Tuesday 22nd December 2020, for any orders required after the Christmas break please confirm your preferred delivery date when ordering.

Urmet have secured a new project - Redland Court, Bristol!

We are pleased to announce that Urmet have secured a new project!

Redland Court, located in Redland, Bristol, is being installed by Urmet Pro Installer Multicoms Solutions. 

This project is using the Urmet 2 Wire Door Entry system ‘2Voice’ and our Access Control system ‘Easy Door’.

For this project, Urmet are supplying 3 Elekta Steel Entry Panels and 27 Miro 4.3″ Video Handsets.

Urmet have worked extensively with experienced Pro Installer Multicoms Solutions for both small and large projects. We can’t wait to see how this project turns out!

The Urmet Transit+ App and Firmware has been Upgraded!

Our Standalone system Transit+ has received a much needed upgrade to the Transit+ App and the Controller Firmware.

Following feedback from a few Urmet Installers, we are pleased to announce the updated version of Transit+, and we have implemented our Installers’ suggestions….

The update includes: 

  • The Controller Firmware and the Transit+ App now support both Mifare Classic AND Mifare+
  • The Transit+ App now provides the ability for users to save both their name and surname
  • The Controller Firmware and the Transit+ App are now compatible with the new PK80 Bluetooth reader
  • It is now possible to import users and keys through an excel sheet to the Controller Firmware

The updates to the Transit+ App and the Controller Firmware reflect our commitment to listening to our Urmet Installers.

Urmet is continuing to work extensively with Pro Installer Anchor Sound & Security.

Anchor Sound & Security are highly experienced Urmet Pro Installers, who have used Urmet Door Entry solutions for multiple new and replacement systems.

Urmet supplied our Flush Sinthesi Steel modular Door Entry Panel for this replacement system.

The Sinthesi Steel Entry Panel is a highly customisable Door Entry solution. Depending on your clients requirements, you can add modules and request custom nameplate engraving – meaning that every Sinthesi Steel installation has a unique panel design.

We are pleased to announce that Urmet have secured a new project!

Kettle Yard is located in Bow, London, and is being installed by highly experienced Urmet Pro Installer ‘ProLogic Systems’. 

This project is using the Urmet 2Voice 2Wire Door Entry System, integrated with our IPassan IP Access Control System.

Urmet are supplying 7 2Smart Stainless Steel Digital Call Panels & 56 Miro 4.3″ Colour Video Handsets to this site.

The New Urmet Secured by Design Certified Self Resetting Emergency Exit System

We are pleased to announce Version 2 of the Urmet Self Resetting Emergency Exit System.

This product has achieved Secured by Design certification as a critical component part.

Some of the features of the Urmet Self Resetting Emergency Exit System are:

We have a new addition to our standard POST range!

POST6 is a Request to Exit, 1.2M pedestrian exit post, that has a brushed stainless steel finish.

It is designed for a Request to Exit Button & an Emergency Break Glass Unit.

700 Enquiries Successfully Answered... THIS WEEK!

It’s been a busy week for us here at Urmet – we have successfully answered 700 customer enquiries!

Furthermore, we are proud to announce that now 100% of all enquiries received were successfully resolved on time! This up from 98% 2 weeks ago!

Did you know that your favourite time to send us a question is between 5-6pm every weekday?

To deal with this, we are now working until 6pm to ensure that you receive an answer to your enquiries by the end of the working day.
