First Ever Urmet System Install

Who Are ‘National Security Systems’?

Starting in 1995 as a sole trader, and forming as a limited company in 2011, National Security Systems have cemented themselves as one of London’s leading security Door Entry, Access Control & CCTV system installers.

A fellow Secured by Design member, National Security Systems work across both residential & commercial projects, with an impressive portfolio including clients such as…

A first time Urmet Installer, National Security Systems decided to use Urmet for the Door Entry & Access Control systems at Botanical Lofts.

A Bit of Background on ‘Botanical Lofts’

Developed by IPE Developments & Bluecroft, Botanical Lofts is a residential development in the heart of London, that has been designed & built in accordance with Secured by Design guidelines.

Located on Jubilee Street, in Stepney, just a 13 minute cycle ride from the City of London & a 2 minute tube ride from London Liverpool Street, Botanical Lofts is delivering a collection of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom ‘loft-style’ apartments to the Whitechapel area.

With Botanical Lofts being a residential development, designed & built to Secured by Design guidelines, National Security Systems decided to use both our Door Entry & Access Control systems on site.

Botanical Lofts is using both our 2 wire Door Entry System ‘2Voice’, and our IP Access Control system ‘IPassan’, these 2 systems are seamlessly integrated on site through our UL293 Certified 2Smart Video Door Entry Panel.

Alongside using our Self-Resetting Emergency Exit Systems, Botanical Lofts is also implementing visitor & resident lift destination control on site (a Secured by Design guideline), and interestingly is putting our 2Smart Entry Panels directly in the lift car to achieve this.

We’ve noticed a few residential developments doing this recently, as it’s a great way to both reduce cost, whilst still complying with Secured by Design guidelines.

How Did the Installation Go?

Don’t take it from us, hear from National Security Systems themselves!

After the install, we caught up with Dave & Vince Naran, Project Managers at National Security Systems, to get their thoughts on how their first ever Urmet Installation went…
